12 The Lovely Crisis: Greed is Good

Gordon Gecko in the movie Wall Street famously stated, "Greed is good." I have long thought about this assertion and have applied the philosophy liberally in my life. Although I have always loved to share what I had, I have never felt I had enough. Now, however, assumes a renewed mission and purpose for me. I am greedy for health for healing for service for love. With only 11 months of sobriety, I am not content. I am not satisfied. I will not look at my life without wanting more. As blessed and grateful as I have ever felt, I still know I am only scratching the surface of magic that has been gifted to me through my surrender. Greed is good.
